Gorgeous Eggplants

Weston loved peppers and gave them human qualities. I am in love with eggplants.

Cauliflower

Stephanie...you are amazing! I photographed it, might draw it, AND eat it!

Flower Arrangement

Not to say that a large bouquet isn't beautiful, but I just love the simplicity of 1-3 flowers in a little antique bottle.

Amazing Day

This is my amazing little press that I've been using to make cards. I think I'm going to sign up for the Zion Arts & Crafts Fair and sell t-shirt skirts, dessert plates, stamped napkins, vintage buttons on postcards, letterpress cards and felted soaps. We'll see what else...

Also, had a great day! I found so many great things in St. George today, a new home decor consignment shop had three area rugs, the Deseret Industries had some materials for the above-mentioned projects, clothes and a great metal cafe table for the porch. I made two different pots of soup with ALL the vegetables bursting out of the garden to store for winter, and Tai Pain Trading going out of business and getting rid of inventory.

Salsa Season in On

The garden is starting to make more than we can eat. It's time to can!

Bedside Stack

I think it would be interesting to see the stack of books next to the bed. I think it shows your interests and maybe how quickly you dispose of the stack. Here's mine...

Stye Relief

It's been three weeks and a painful Stye has been plaguing me. Hot compresses were unsuccessful. A friend recommended cucumbers. It seems to be helping AND it feels good!

Red Canyon / Dixie National Forest

In preparation for the Dixie National Forest Exhibit in November 2012 at the Sears Gallery at Dixie State College, Randy and I did a hike at Red Canyon this week on the Rich Trail, Pink Ledges Overlook.

Redwood Letterpress Cards

I'm eventually going to make a series, but this is my one card that actually conveys the personality and feeling of the tree.

Not having much experience with them, I've been trying to capture that feeling now for a year or two. I feel as though I finally got one. Try reading WILD TREES by Richard Preston for more...

Vintage Button Postcards

Becca and I matched postcards and buttons today for a VERY fun project, surprisingly intellectual and also visually stimulating.

Good! Letterpress Project

The first of several cards relating to fun words and funky wood block letters. These are destined for an absolutely amazing little store called the Farmhouse Mercantile in the Anderson Valley, California.

Refined Handmade Linen

I purchased this online from a lady, The Textile Trunk, who sells antique & vintage European textiles.

This piece is handwoven, soft and thick. It's sure to last a long time. It was hand-dyed this light blue.

Refining Stamping Project with Sewing

My new favorite tool is the twin needle on the sewing machine. I finished the napkins so they wouldn't unravel further and it definitely improved them!

A lovely evening stroll in the park...

Fabric Stamping

Played in the studio with Becca today. We stamped fabric with organic shapes. She made lovely napkins with a print from an antique egg beater and I embellished on a design I had started for a tablecloth. The print comes from the bottom of a gin bottle and I used a plastic do-hickey to make the lines.

I'm getting a show ready for the Bit 'n' Spur Restaurant in Springdale, Utah. There will be eighteen (18) new pieces!

New Snapseed App

The last few days involved learning a new program for photos. With Canon G11 and iPhone no need for "professional" setup anymore. I guess that ALL goes up on eBay soon.

New Soap Rocks

Felted Soap Stones
New soap rocks! I'll be posting them on  Etsy or else holding them for the Z-Arts! Arts & Crafts Fair in November. I'll have some other items, too.
