Spring Advances

I've been working on a cutwork project from the ALABAMA STITCH BOOK by Natalie Chanin. It's very time consuming, but fun. I like that I'm reusing old t-shirt and it's sure to be a comfortable item that I will want to wear. It takes four t-shirts. Two panels are sewn together. A pattern is embroidered with a basting stitch and the top layer is cut away to reveal the base. I saw something like this on Project Runway, too.

Such amazing color in a formation of clay! Paintbrush blooming in late spring.
