Moqui Marbles

Hope everyone had a great New Year celebration and that it continues throughout the coming year. Our little home has been beset by tragedy and that along with new equipment, I have been offline a couple of days.

These little beauties are known locally as Moqui Marbles. They are essentially harder deposits of iron located within the sandstone. The sandstone erodes around them and they are released from bondage and are able to roll around the slickrock freely. They come in many forms as you can see...
